What courben.co is
courben.co is a research grade educational platform that explains psychological patterns, cognitive mechanisms, and mental health realities as they relate to entrepreneurship and business. We are a publication. We are researchers and educators. We are a resource for self-awareness and psychological understanding.
Every article on courben.co is grounded in credible academic research. Every claim is sourced. Every piece of content is reviewed against ethical standards before publication.
What courben.co Is Not
courben.co is not a therapy service. We do not provide therapeutic interventions, counselling, or clinical treatment of any kind.
courben.co is not a diagnostic tool. Nothing on this platform is designed to identify, diagnose, or label any mental health condition.
courben.co is not a substitute for professional support. An article, however well researched and carefully written, cannot replace the personalised assessment and support of a qualified mental health professional.
courben.co is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis please contact a crisis service immediately. Samaritans are available 24 hours a day on 116 123, free of charge. You can also text SHOUT to 85258. If you are in immediate danger please call 999.
How We Present Psychological Content
courben.co writes about psychological patterns at the population level. When we describe how founders tend to experience impostor syndrome, or how loss aversion affects pricing decisions, we are describing patterns documented across research studies involving many people. We are not describing you specifically.
We use words like may, tends to, and research suggests deliberately. This is ethical precision about the limits of what educational content can responsibly claim about an individual reader.
When to Seek Professional Support
Please consider speaking with a qualified mental health professional if:
- Psychological distress is significantly affecting your daily functioning, relationships, or ability to work
- You are experiencing persistent anxiety, low mood, or exhaustion that does not improve with rest
- You are having thoughts of harming yourself or others
- Something in your psychological experience feels beyond the reach of self-awareness alone
In the UK your GP is always a good starting point. You can also search the British Psychological Society directory at bps.org.uk or the BACP counselling directory at bacp.co.uk.
Our Commitment to You
courben.co will never use diagnostic language to describe your experience. We will never present our content as clinical guidance. We will never suggest that reading an article is sufficient where professional support is genuinely needed.
